HEDGEROW BARN MARKET

Hedgerow is an organic vegetable market in midcoast Maine. We grow all our produce right on our property. We concentrate on providing customers with lettuces and other ingredients required for the freshest of salads, but also delight in offering produce ranging from artichokes to potatoes. Large cutting gardens provide plenty of flowers for fresh, long-lasting bouquets.

We take pride in the vegetables we grow organically in our beds, greenhouse and hoop houses. We harvest micro greens twice a week, and aim to have lettuce always available, along with a full range of garden vegetables, each in their own season. Our cutting gardens supply customers with fresh and artfully arranged flower bouquets, while our fruit trees offer a succession of tasty seasonal produce.

Hedgerow’s market is well supplied with delicious entrees, soups and salads from Green Bean Cookhouse’s off-the-grid commercial kitchen on the river side of our peninsula. Specialty grocery items and baked goods add to what’s available for tasty lunches, the cocktail hour and relaxed home dinners.

We fill our barn with an eclectic array of goods, both vintage and modern, for home and garden. A selection of books for both youth and adults offers insights into the workings and pleasures of the natural world. It’s not only an organic vegetable market in midcoast Maine.
