The Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving are “Yuletide in St. George” days. Hedgerow and eight other shops and galleries on the peninsula, most of which are seasonal, are open for one last hurrah before closing for the winter.
I have a couple of newer hooked pieces on display, including “Lichens on a Log.”
and “The Brothers and Beyond.”
We are fortunate enough to have handmade wearable art by Kalla, along with her popular “Woolies.” And we have a nice range of dish towels and scarves woven by fiber artist Lucy Williams.
We continue to have a gracious selection of handmade books by Camden artist, Laurie V. Adams.
Especially for this show we have a selection of wood-fired pottery by Swanville potter Jody Johnstone,
and a fun array of chicken and hedgehog porcelain by Robbi Portola of Maple View Pottery in Windsor.
All of these are special additions to the selections of books, pottery, tools and treats we regularly have in the gallery and shop. Always a fun weekend! And the reason we have a wood-burning stove in the gallery (though the Twiggery might be a bit brisk).
