A view toward the Twiggery

Patches of astilbe bloom in early August.

Herb garden

Many perennial herbs at hedgerow thrive in the lean soil that surrounds ledge outcroppings at the corner of one of the raised bed vegetable gardens.

Pleached apples

One edge of the first raised bed garden at Hedgerow is a line of Liberty apples that we prune two-dimensionally and pleach so the branches of the trees are growing together.

Liberty apples

The pleached trees are prolific producers.

Sungold tomatoes

On Saturday mornings we will have a market located the Hedgerow barn with produce from our beds for sale.

Onion harvest

We usually grow several types of onions.

Crabapples in full bloom

We have large trees as well as smaller trees and shrubs for sale in our nursery. And often we can get plant material within a week that we do not have in stock.

Delivery day

It's an exciting and busy day when we get our Spring deliveries of trees, shrubs and perennials.

Spring in the nursery

Fothergilla is a wonderful springtime flowering shrub.

Perennials

Van Berkum Nurseries, in New Hampshire supplies most of our perennials.

Franklinia

This tree does not flower until September, but is well worth the wait.

Hedgerow barn

The barn is the site of our Saturday morning market featuring seasonal organic produce and eggs from Hedgerow as well as baked treats and prepared meals from Green Bean Catering.

Twiggery and Gallery

The small shed is the Twiggery and beyond it is the gallery.

Maple Lane Pottery

Robbi Portela of Maple Lane pottery keeps us supplied with whimsical chicken and hedgehog porcelain pieces.

Botanical designs

We carry porcelain plates, trays and tiles from Stillwater Pottery.

Garden and earth-art treats

We have a small selection of books, cards and crafts.
